I see beauty in every individual I meet and I love to show that beauty to them, and to the rest of the world.
Concentrating on pinup, boudoir, wedding and performance photography I enjoy providing clients with exceptional photography at an affordable price.
That was then…
Born in Hamilton, I graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Anthropology, with a side order of Women’s Studies.
A passion for photography and writing led to Journalism studies at Sheridan College and subsequent work as a freelance entertainment writer for publications such as The Hammer, VIEW Magazine, and my present part-time gig as online editor for www.monkeybiz.ca, a Hamilton based arts, entertainment and community website.
The catalyst for my rediscovery of photography as a creative outlet began eight years ago when I accepted a position as Communications and Projects Coordinator with Workforce Planning Hamilton. Recognizing that I needed a daily break from my computer, during my lunch breaks I grabbed my camera and prowled the streets capturing the beauty and decay of the people and places in Hamilton.
Many group and solo photo shows followed. Click here to read more about my shows.
This is now…
My current mission is to photograph people who are living with passion and are not afraid to do so, despite what others may think of them. In particular I enjoy taking photographs of musicians, wrestlers, burlesque performers, and drag queens. It is wonderful to gain the trust of people and to be invited into their world. This is what makes photography worthwhile for me. Using photography I enjoy showing people a glimpse of a life that they may have no knowledge of or insight into. Perhaps my photos will open the viewers’ minds to others and their lives.
I am pleased to provide pinup, boudoir, and wedding photography for those that want photos that are a little “outside of the box.”
